About the Recipe
This red wine roast beef dish is a warm and flavourful winter dish. Full of nutrients, aroma and taste; a perfect meal to keep warm.

Ingredients
1 kg of beef
Salt
Garlic powder
Cumin
Oregano
Dry parsley
Olie oil
Butter
1 onion
Green onions
Carrots
1 Pepper
Tomato sauce
1/2 cup of beef (vegetable) broth
Corn starch
Red wine
Bay leaves
Fresh cilantro
Rosemary
Preparation
Step 1
In a bowl mix and stir salt, garlic powder, cumin, dry parsley, oregano, chilli powder. Mix the dry mix to the beef, combine and let marinate for 15 minutes.
Step 2
In a pan, stir olive oil, butter, cubed onion, garlic, sliced carrots, green onions, peppers, salt, tomato sauce, brown sugar, 1/2 cup of beef (vegetable) broth. Place the cooked vegetables in an oven baking dish.
Step 3
Sear and brown on a hot pan the marinated beef. Combine seared beef with the vegetables in the oven baking dish. With the same pan used to sear the beef, add butter, 1/2 cup of cold water mixed with corn starch, 1 cup of red wine, bay leaf, rosemary, fresh cilantro and stir until dissolved.
Step 4
Now incorporate the beef sauce with the seared beef and vegetables. Place in the oven for 20 minutes.
